Gallenero, Luvritz; Miravalles, Angelie
This study was conducted at Tapaz National High School during the school year 2022-2023. Generally, this study aimed to improve the performance of Grade 8 students’ in Adding and Subtracting Fractions with the use of Instructional Videos.&#13;
The respondents of this study were the 30 students of section Aquarius and 30 students of section Scorpion of Tapaz National High School and they were identified using their average grades during 1st Quarter of the school year 2022-2023. Mean was used in analyzing and interpreting the data. The significant difference between the posttest and pretest was determined through the t-test. The findings of the study are the following: Before intervention, the level of performance was poor performance, respectively. After the intervention and remediation results revealed that there was an improvement and significant difference in the mean performance of students in solving adding and subtracting fractions from poor to very satisfactory.

This quasi-experimental research utilized the 60 grade 8 students of Tapaz National High School during the School Year 2022-2023. To analyze the gathered data, frequency counts, percentages, mean, and standard deviation were used. The significant difference between the two groups was determined through the t-test at 0.05 alpha. The findings of the study are the following: Before the intervention, the control group and experimental group had very poor and poor learning performance, respectively. After the intervention, both the control group and experimental group obtained fairly satisfactory learning performance; There is no significant difference in the pretest scores of the control group and experimental group; Significant differences existed in the pretest and posttest scores of the control and experimental groups. Finally, the study found no significant difference existed between the posttest scores of the two groups. Thus, the use of Khan Academy videos as intervention in simplifying the order of operations appears to be ineffective.

This study aimed to determine the effect of Photomath application in teaching fundamental operations of signed numbers. This quasi-experimental research utilized the 60 grade 10 students of Tapaz National High School during the School Year 2022-2023. To analyse the gathered data, frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used. The significant difference of the two groups was determined through the t-test at 0.05 alpha level. The findings of the study are the following: Before intervention, both control group and experimental group had fairly satisfactory learning performance. After intervention, the control group and experimental group had a satisfactory and excellent learning performance respectively. There are significant differences between the pretest and posttest scores of the two groups and between their postests. These differences implied that Photomath as a teaching tool had a profound effect on students' learning performance in fundamental operations of signed numbers.

<summary type="text">Awareness and practices on ecological solid waste management at Tapaz Central Elementary School
Demas, Virgie; Fuentes, Catherine; Galagate, Joevelyn
This descriptive-correlation study research was conducted at Tapaz Central Elementary School, Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz, school year 2022-2023, to determine the following: level of solid waste management awareness and practices of the respondents as an entire group categorized according to  their  age,  sex,  and  grade  level;  and significant  differences  in  the level of   awareness  and practices  on ecological solid waste management; and significant relationship between the awareness and practices of the respondents in ecological solid waste management. This study used the standardized survey questionnaire taken from awareness and practices in Ecological Solid Waste Management authored by (Fecara, R, 2020) in determining awareness and practices. As an entire group, the awareness level of ages 12-14 years old are highly aware; both 6-8, and 9-11 years old are aware. For grade level, grade 4, is highly aware, grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, grade 5, and grade 6 are aware. The practices level of ages 12-14, 9-11, and 6-8 years old are sound practice. For grade level, males and females are interpreted as sound practice; according to grade level, grade 4 and grade 5 are interpreted as highly essential practice, grade 6, grade 1, grade 2, and grade 3 are interpreted as sound practice. There are significant differences in the learner's level of awareness of ecological solid waste management of the respondents as an entire group according to their age, sex, and grade level. Thus, the null hypothesis which states that there are no significant differences in the respondent level of awareness when grouped according to age, sex, and grade is rejected. &#13;
             There are significant differences in the respondents' level of solid waste management practices as an entire group and when categorized by age and sex, but no significant difference according to grade level. Thus, the null hypothesis, which states that there is no significant difference in the respondent level of awareness when grouped according to their age and sex, is rejected. There is a highly significant relationship exists between awareness and practices. Thus, the null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between the respondents' awareness and practices in ecological solid waste management is rejected.
