Effect of Photomath application on students' learning performance in the fundamental operations of signed numbers
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of Photomath application in teaching fundamental operations of signed numbers. This quasi-experimental research utilized the 60 grade 10 students of Tapaz National High School during the School Year 2022-2023. To analyse the gathered data, frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used. The significant difference of the two groups was determined through the t-test at 0.05 alpha level. The findings of the study are the following: Before intervention, both control group and experimental group had fairly satisfactory learning performance. After intervention, the control group and experimental group had a satisfactory and excellent learning performance respectively. There are significant differences between the pretest and posttest scores of the two groups and between their postests. These differences implied that Photomath as a teaching tool had a profound effect on students' learning performance in fundamental operations of signed numbers.
