Level of preparedness in practice teaching of Bachelor of Elementary Education students of Capiz State University Pilar Satellite College

Abstract

The principal purpose of this study was to find out the level of preparedness in practice teaching of Bachelor Elementary Education -IV students of Capiz State University Pilar Satellite College. Specifically, it aimed to 1.)determine the socio-demographic profile of the respondents as to sex, civil status, parent`s occupational status, parent`s highest educational attainment and parent’s monthly income; 2.) Determine the level of preparedness of the respondents as to lesson planning, instructional materials and classroom management and as a whole; 3.) determine the significant difference between the level of preparedness of the respondents when grouped according to sex, civil status, parent`s occupational status, parent`s highest educational attainment, parent`s monthly income. The study was conducted at Capiz State University Pilar Satellite College, Pilar Capiz among the forty-six. The respondents of the study were the students from the fourth year Bachelor of Elementary Education. A questionnaire was use in collecting data from the respondents. Frequency counts and percentage were the statistical tool used to analyze the data gathered. Findings revealed that majority of the respondents were female, single, majority of mother`s occupational status were unemployed, majority of father`s occupational status were employed, and majority of parent`s monthly income were Php 1,000-5,000 below. Results of the study revealed that the Bachelor of Elementary Education students of Capiz State University College were prepared for practice teaching.
