dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the socio-demographic profile of the respondents and the factors affecting the academic performance of Grade VI pupils. More specifically, the objectives of this study was to find out the (1) socio-demographic profile of the respondents in term of sex , age, family income, and parents education al attainment, (2) the factors affecting the academic performance of the Grade VI of San Antonio Elementary School terms of term of family, students, environmental, and school factors. The descriptive type of research used a researchers-made instrument which was composed of two parts, namely: Part I for socio-demographic profile and Part II for the factors affecting the academic performance of the Grade VI pupils of San Antonio Elementary School. This was employed among the fourteen respondents chosen via total enumeration technique. The result that the most of the respondents were male and ages 12 years old and below, most of their parents` were elementary and high school graduate. Among the four factors which were family, student, environment, and school, family had the greatest grand mean of 3.08 and the overall grand mean of all factors were 2.62.en
