dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted in the Capiz State University Burias Campus located in Burias, Mambusao, Capiz in the second semester of A. Y. 2018 – 2019 to determine the personality and musical preference of the Laboratory High School Students. Data needed for the study were gathered from the 144 randomly selected respondents from Capiz State University Laboratory High School Burias, Mambusao, Capiz by the researchers and were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results were interpreted at 5% level of significance. The study has the following findings: Majority of the respondents, were aged 12 years old, female, grade 7 and mostly listening to music for 1 hour. The personality type of the respondents as a whole were “neutral”. As to the respondents’ age, sex, curricular grade level and number of hours devoted to listening to music were “neutral” personality. The respondents’ musical preference as a whole were “like”. As to the age, sex, curricular grade level and number of hours devoted to listening to music were “like” musical preference. There is no significant difference in the level of musical preference when the respondents were grouped according to age, sex, curricular grade level and number of hours devoted to listening to music. Personality is significantly affected by the musical preference of the respondents. | en |
