Job opportunities of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management graduates

Abstract

This study was conducted in the different hotels in Roxas City during the school year 2016-2017. The study was conducted to determine the job opportunities of BSTM graduates in hotels in Roxas City. The respondents of the study were the ten managers/human resource officers of the different hotels in Roxas City. The questionnaire was the instrument used to gather the needed data. The researchers did not employ sampling because there were only ten respondents. In short, this study utilized the whole population. Since this study is survey, frequency counts and ranking of data were used to present and analyze data. Findings of the study revealed that Front Office Clerk, Front Office Supervisor and Sales and Marketing Coordinator were the three positions that are most needed by the hotels in Roxas City. Males are preferred by majority of the respondents to be hired in hotel Jobs. In terms of age applicants aging from 21-23 have a greater opportunity to be hired in hotel jobs.
