dc.description.abstract | Children with special needs often face unique challenges in communication and engagement. Traditional learning methods may not always effectively cater to their diverse learning styles and needs. This highlights the need for innovative tools to bridge this gap and create a more inclusive learning environment. This study aimed to design and implement an interactive board for special needs children specifically with non-verbal learners. The board was equipped with visual and audio support, using sign language displays and audio output through speakers. The device was designed with an Arduino Uno microcontroller and was intended to be user-friendly, with a straightforward and easily navigable interface. The study focused on developing the interactive board, including the device’s design, coding, and evaluation. The evaluation of the device was based on its accuracy, reliability, and robustness. The device was also evaluated by IT experts and respondents, and the evaluation results showed that the interactive board was excellent, was tested based on ISO 25010. The study concluded that the interactive board was a promising tool for supporting the communication and engagement of children with special needs. | en |
