dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the multiple intelligences and learning styles of College of Education students at Capiz State University Burias Campus for the school year 2023-2024. A purely quantitative approach was employed, using a descriptive research design to explore these aspects among the students. The study involved 228 out of 593 College of Education students majoring BSEd Filipino, BSEd English, BSEd Mathematics, BSEd Social Studies, BSEd Science, BEEd and BPEd served as the respondents. An adopted questionnaire, based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory and the VARK Questionnaire Version 8.01 developed by NeIL Flemming and Charles Bonwell (2019), was used for data collection. The findings revealed that, based on the socio-demographic profile, the majority of respondents were aged 20 and below, most respondents were enrolled in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. The collected date were systematically analyzed using encoded data, with descriptive statistics such as frequency count, than, standard deviation, and percentage applied to analyze the descriptive data. The majority of respondents’ there were farmers, and most mothers were housewives. Regarding place of residence, the majority of respondents came from outside the tow, and most respondents were female. In terms of multiple intelligences, respondents perceived themselves to have an average level in linguistic, logical/ mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, and naturalist intelligences. However they rated themselves highly in intrapersonal intelligences, both overall and grouped by profile variables. Finally, with respect to learning styles, the majority of respondents identified as auditory learners, both overall and when grouped according to profile variables.en
