Positive and negative views of CAPSU students on the war against drugs campaign
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the Positive and Negative Views of CAPSU Students on the War Against Drugs Campaign. More specifically, it sought to determine the: (1). Socio-demographic profile of the respondents, and (2 Positive and Negative Views of CAPSU Students on the War Against Drugs Campaign This study involved 278 respondents taken from different 6 selected courses. They were gathered through proportionate sampling technique. A questionnaire was constructed for the purpose of the study, it was composed of two parts; Part I was used to collect the socio- demographic profile and Part II focused on the Positive and Negative Views of CAPSU Students on the War Against Drugs Campaign. Frequency count, percentage and mean were used to analyze the data on the profile and views on the war against drugs campaign.
The study was conducted in CAPSU Pilar Satellite College, Pilar, Capiz from February-March 2018. The respondents were the two hundred seventy eight (278) students of CAPSU Pilar.
A questionnaire was used to gather data the necessary data from the respondents which was composed of two parts: Part I dealt with the socio-demographic profile of the respondents, and, Part II focused on the Positive and Negative Views of CAPSU Students on the War Against Drugs Campaign.
Results revealed that the students of CAPSU Pilar were in their early twenties, female with mothers who were housekeepers and high school graduates while their fathers were farmers and high school levels belonging to low income families.
The students of CAPSU Pilar have positive views on the war against drugs campaign, however, they were uncertain on the negative effects of the war against drugs campaign.
