ICT integration practices of secondary mathematics teachers
Abstract
This study was conducted to assess the integration practices of teachers in a national high school setting. The research focused on understanding how secondary mathematics educators incorporated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools into the teaching and learning processes. The findings indicated a moderate level of integration, with common ICT skills being predominantly utilized in the classroom environment. These skills included the use of computers, projectors, smart TVs, and other technological resources. The study highlighted that the adoption of ICT in teaching contributed to an enhanced understanding among teachers. It significantly increased the potential for customizing and delivering tailored support to meet individual educational needs. As a result, the study recommended that secondary mathematics teachers explore various technological instructional materials, online applications, and educational software. Embracing these resources could bring about numerous benefits for both teachers and students, creating a dynamic learning environment that fosters increased engagement and interaction to support daily activities within the educational setting.
