Abstract
This study was conducted in the district of Pilar. The respondents of the study were the disable persons in the district of Pilar. They were selected using complete enumeration technique. A questionnaire was used to gather the needed data. Frequency and percentage was used to analyze the socio-demographic profile and the problems encountered and its solution.
Results revealed that respondents with disabilities are aged 12 to 16 years old and above and most of them are females. Many of the respondents are lame and have epilepsy, their disability is usually congenital. Almost all respondents’ families admitted that financial matters were one of their main problems. They also experienced a loss of self-esteem. They also learned that their disabilities do have an impact on their family, for being better, and interacting with others. Respondents also felt that they became a burden on their families because of their disabilities.
