Assessment of Ro-Ro transport services from dumangas to bacolod port
Abstract
This study was conducted to assess the Ro-Ro Transport Services from Dumangas to Bacolod port in terms of convenience, safety and traveling cost. This study used descriptive survey method of research. The respondents were the 50 passengers of Ro-Ro from Dumangas to Bacolod port. The statistical tools used in this study were frequency count, percentage and mean. Findings of the study revealed that majority of the respondents are males (66%), 30 years old and below (62 %), employed in commercial entities (42%), high school and college graduates (18% & 19% respectively). Ro-Ro passengers were satisfied of the services of the vessel in terms of convenience, safety and traveling cost. The departure and arrival areas are accessible, food stores are available if needed and seats are sufficient and luggage boxes are always available. Moreover, watercrafts are in in good conditions during the travel, drivers and conductors monitor the condition of the bus, medicines are available in the watercraft. Finally, the watercraft fare is affordable and insurance fee is inexpensive.
