Growth and yield performance of pole sitao (Vigna unguiculata L.) as affected by different levels of chicken manure
Abstract
This study was conducted at San Ramon, Pilar Capiz from March to May 2023 to evaluate the growth and yield performance of pole sitao (Vigna unguiculata L.) as affected by different leaves of Chicken Manure in term of main vines at 15, 30, and 45 DAS, number of leaves at 15, 30, and 45 DAS, number of lateral vines 30 , 45 DAS number of leaves of lateral vines at 30, 45 DAS number of pods per 10 sample plants, number of marketable and non-marketable pods per 10 sample plants, weight of marketable pods per 10 plants.
The experimental area was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four treatments replicated three times. The treatment are as flow; 10kg of Chicken manure per plot, Treatment D-15 kg of Chicken Manure per plot.
The result of the experiment revealed that different levels of chicken manure did not significantly affect the length of main vines and number of leaves at 15, 30, and 45 DAS, number of lateral vines 30, 45 DAS, number of leaves of lateral vines at 30, 45 days after sowing, Number of pod per 10 sample plants, Number and weight of marketable and non-marketable pods per 10 sample plants.
