    Abstract
This study was conducted at Mambusao National High School, Mambusao East National High School, and David Moises Memorial High School during the school year 2017-2018, involving a sample size of 201 Grade 11 students to determine their attitude towards research and performance in Research. The instrument of the study was a questionnaire composed of two parts to collect the desired data and information. Part I consisted of information on the personal profile of the respondents, and Part II was comprised of 32 item statements to determine the respondents’ attitude towards research. Data gathered were analyzed using frequency counts, mean, percentage, T-test, one way ANOVA and Pearson’s r. The study was female-dominated; had a monthly family income ranging from 5,000 and below; their fathers were elementary level; and their mothers were high school level. The Grade 11 students' level of attitude towards research was favorable. Those respondents whose monthly income ranged from Php20,001- 25,000 and 25,001- 30,000 had more favorable attitudes towards research. The respondents' performance in research was satisfactory. Mothers' educational attainment was found to influence the respondents' attitude towards Research. Personal-related variables were not found to significantly affect the respondents' performance in Research.

Grade 11 students' attitude towards research was insignificantly related to their performance in Research.
