Abstract
The study aimed to determine the factors affecting academic performance of CapSu Pilar students. Specifically, it was conducted to find out the level of academic performance of students; the factors affecting the academic performance of the students in terms of student, home, school, and teacher-related factors; and the significant difference between academic performance and factors affecting academic performance. A validated and reliability tested questionnaire adopted from combined researchers of Balbosa, (2023) was and Magno (2023) was used to collect the data from the respondents. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and spearman rho were the statistical tools used to analyze the data gathered. Findings revealed that the level of academic performance of the respondents was good. Furthermore teacher-related factors always affect academic performance. While student, home, and school-related factors often affect academic performance. The result of the analysis revealed that the teacher-related factors emerged to have significant relation to academic performance. This finding emphasizes the notable role these factors play in shaping academic performance of students. Moreover, both school-related factors and home-related factors demonstrated non-significant relationship between factors and academic performance of the students.
