21st century reading, writing and arithmetic skills of intermediate pupils
Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the 21st century reading, writing and arithmetic skills of intermediate pupils at President Roxas East Elementary School SY: 2018-2019. The researcher used a descriptive research design utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire based from the Table of Specification (TOS) and rubrics. Descriptive statistics was utilized in this study such as: frequency counts, percentages, mean and Pearson r. Intermediate pupils of President Roxas East Elementary school is high on both 21st century reading and writing skills however, and average 21st century arithmetic skills. The respondents' academic performance is proficient and their 21st century reading, writing and arithmetic skills were found to have significant relationship with one another while their academic performance was also found to be influenced by their 21st century reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
