The journey of solo parent in selected barangays of Pilar, Capiz; its challenges and coping mechanism

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to find out the journey of the solo parents in the Municipality of Pilar its daily challenges and coping strategies, it sought to: find socio-demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, Gender preference, address educational attainment, status of employment, average monthly salary. This study includes forty- eight (48) respondents from two (2) selected barangays in the municipality of Pilar. These forty-eight (48) respondents were selected through complete enumeration technique. The respondent of the study was 48 registered of Municipality of Pilar, Capiz. Twenty-four (24) regestered solo parents from the Barangay Dulangan, and Twenty-four (24) registered solo parents from the Barangay Poblacion, Pilar, Capiz,
