    Abstract
Home security is a growing concern, requiring advanced and automated solutions for effective monitoring. This project aims to develop a Security Camera Using PIR Sensor with Face Recognition System to mitigate intruders in houses for the safety of the residents. Specifically, the goal is to design a security camera system that can identify a thief or trespasser, provide a text message when an unidentified person enters the house, and trigger an alarm when someone unauthorized enters. The PIR sensor detects motion and triggers a camera to capture an image of the detected individual. A face recognition algorithm then verifies the person's identity. If unauthorized access is detected, the system activates an alarm, turns on security lights, and sends a real-time SMS notification to the homeowner via a GSM module. The system was evaluated based on ISO 25010 hardware quality standards with a mean score of 4.95 in usability and reliability, which was interpreted as "Excellent." The overall system evaluation results received an "Excellent" rating from both IT experts and respondents. The project utilized an Arduino Uno microcontroller, a PIR sensor for motion detection, a webcam for image capture, and a GSM module for real-time notifications. When motion was detected, the system automatically takes a picture and processes it through the face recognition software. The results indicate that this system significantly enhances home security by providing real-time alerts and accurate identification of intruders.
